Elford Hall Garden Project
Elford Hall Garden Project is one of my very favourite venues in which to photograph.
Its well manicured gardens provide a multitude of backdrops and its natural light and shaded areas provide for some great images, regardless of the time of day and where the sun sits; the shadows, provided by the garden walls and mature trees, really come into their own here . The volunteers are generous with their knowledge and always make you feel very welcome. There is a bothy on site for refreshments and often a seasonal coffee van providing great blends. I'm tempted not to write too much so as to allow you to be surprised by what it has to offer. I hope the images below at least pique your interest.
Images include the bothy, various pictures of a post-ice cream Mollison, MM waiting for his friend to come out to play and some of the badgers that will greet those that are quiet and patient, should you know where to look, MM included.
Elford Hall Garden Project
Elford Hall Garden Project is a project which began in 2009 with the desire to save the walled garden becoming another housing development.
The project is entirely conceived, delivered, and maintained by volunteers.
The garden itself is free to enter and is open every day, from 9am till dusk.
The car parking is free of charge and the disabled parking is clearly signposted.
Toilet facilities, including disabled, are available in the gardener's house, on volunteer days.
The site is dog friendly and the grounds large enough to exercise your companion.
