If you’ve not been to the summer exhibition you’ve only got a few days left so hurry along to the Royal Academy before 15th August. This has become the largest contemporary exhibition in the world with works by up-and-coming artists as well as the usual big hitters. The exhibition is ‘open to all’ – both in terms of submissions and visitors.
Co-ordinated by Royal Academician Christopher Le Brun, the show includes rooms curated by artists such as Michael Craig-Martin RA.
Held every year since 1769, 2011’s Summer Exhibition attracts over 12,000 entries from 27 countries. The majority of works are for sale, offering visitors an unrivalled opportunity to purchase artworks by such an amazing range of artists.
