This Valentine’s Day the Blue Elephant has conjured up a spicy, seductive and very sexy menu for two which celebrates Thai classics with an international twist. Inject a little excitement into your Valentine’s night by indulging in a four-course menu made with foods and spices which are known for their aphrodisiac qualities.
As would be expected from executive chef and owner, Noroor Somany Steppe, the menu is innovative and modern, whilst retaining the Thai roots that make the cuisine such a popular choice in the UK today. With her international empire of Blue Elephant restaurants Chef Noroor has created a brand which reflects her forward-thinking and creative mentality, setting her restaurants one step ahead of the rest.
We were given the chance to experience the Valentine’s menu and we can vouch that it is simply delicious. The Foie Gras Custard starter was rich and creamy, complemented by the crispy duck spring rolls and the cute flower shaped chicken dumpling. The main course was just as impressive. The Lamb Shank Curry was an incredible combination of powerful flavours and melt in your mouth textures. The Black Cod Ginseng arrived encased in parcels of banana leaves, which concealed a delicious meaty fish, spiced with classic Thai flavours. The Love Drunken Prawns were spicy and fragrant, served in generous portions.
The desserts uniquely combined original flavours and textures that were a delight to explore. The Royal Jelly Panna Cotta won us over with its creamy consistency and sweet vanilla flavour.
In a romantic setting overlooking the river, Blue Elephant in Imperial Wharf ticks all the boxes for a loved-up Valentine’s dinner. Enjoy a truly memorable dining experience with a four course banquet fit for royalty.
