September Supperclub: Palatino pairs with O’ndina


Ondina Gin and Palatino

For those of us clinging to the last vestiges of Summer, there’s hope this September from the most delicious Italian Supperclub hosted by Stevie Parle’s Palatino and super premium Italian Gin – O’ndina.

Think beautiful, Mediterranean cocktails, expertly crafted and paired with stunning plates of Italian delicacies taking you on a culinary journey from Venice all the way to Sicily. There isn’t a pizza or spag bol in sight and your taste buds will tingle at every course.

From the antipasti which is oh so fresh (zingy bream carpaccio, featherlight pane caruso, umami rich anchovies) followed by Primi (when the garlicky pangrittata appears under your nose, comedy eye-rolling and lip-smacking will ensue) and Secondi (tough call…try to broker a deal with your supper pal and try both!) For desert, heed the Godfather and take the Cannoli!

We haven’t even covered the cocktails offered between each course.  Our favourite, the aptly named Sgroppino is taken from the Venetian word to “un-knot” or “to loosen” and this pretty little basil smash will certainly try to do just that. Lemon sorbet is hand whisked into a feather light consistency with prosecco, O’ndina gin and freshly chopped basil.  By the time the digestif appears, you’ll be singing That’s Amore!
