Rififi Club was a recent discovery of mine, perfectly positioned in the back streets of Mayfair. You enter into a stunning and flirtatious red and black lit bar with an exclusive social buzz in the air. This is an ‘in the know’ venue boasting a passionate team, specialising in their fields of excellence. We were there for an Innerplace members party, sponsored by Beluga Vodka. Standing out like a shining star from other events, they weren’t offering some sugar infused quick fix, each cocktail was made bespoke to your taste and mood, allowing the bar tenders to show off their immense skills and personal touch. My dirty martini was served in a stunning embezzled vintage coupe, shaken and served to my exact desire- the giant green olives didn’t last a second!! Design is a core focus here too from the glass wear and cutlery to the interiors, i loved the brass features and moose taxidermy, a mix of classy and playful; you can also sneak into their back room if you want a more private moment to enjoy cocktails and their dining menu!
Rififi is the latest venture from globally renowned restaurateur Arkady Novikov. launched in tandem with General Manager Francesco Tatulli, RIFIFI is jewel box small and opens a new chapter in exclusivity. Due to RIFIFI’s boutique proportions, its team will be able to foster close, longstanding relationships with members. Paying homage to Savile Row and Mayfair’s rich history of bespoke luxury, RIFIFI will be able to custom-tailor its offerings on every level to suit the needs of its discerning membership – from scintillating live entertainment and DJ’s to sumptuous haute-cuisine and delicious craft cocktails.
At present, RIFIFI is open for after-work drinks from 6.30pm on Tuesday through to Saturday. Dinner reservations are from 7.30pm with last orders at 10.15pm. RIFIFI then runs a light menu, with caviar served until 3.30am. Head Chef Ivan Simeoli arrives at RIFIFI with a wealth of talent gleaned from working under chefs including Great British Menu judge Oliver Peyton; Massimo Bottura of the three Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana; and Pascal Aussignac of Club Gascon. His ingredient-led cooking favours intense flavours, foraged produce, seasonality, ethical provenance and healthiness in equal measure, creating Modern British cuisine par excellence.
There will be a grace period from May to July for invitees to experience RIFIFI before they begin to admit only members onto the premises. There are also plans afoot to roll out the RIFIFI brand internationally, establishing sister venues in the world’s foremost luxury destinations. Founding members who join during the aforementioned period will enjoy full access to RIFIFI and all subsequent projects and events, both in the UK and worldwide.
