RAY’S BAR: A basement cocktail bar from the team behind Voodoo Ray’s & Dalston Superstore.

As the disappointment of Dance Tunnel’s closure still looms, the team at Voodoo Ray’s and Dalston Superstore are on a mission to cheer the place up… by creating a mighty fine cocktail bar!

The 50 cover basement will serve a three course cocktail menu. Split in to Aperitfs, Mains and Desserts, its designed to guide guests through their evening with a combination of long and short concoctions. Cocktails include the Shady Pines (Beefeater 24, Strega, lemon, egg white, elderflower and rosemary) from the Aperitifs, the Tunnel Dancer (Lagavulin, bourbon, chilli and rhubarb bitters) exclusively available after midnight from the Mains and the Sensational Sherry (sherry, dark rum, dark cacao and cream) to finish from the Desserts.

DJs play vinyl till late accompanying the forward thinking drinks menu, and bright colours, quirky textures, monochrome and disco balls give the space a fun feel. Described by interior designer Heather Pistor as a ‘Dreamy Dalston drinking den – think Tokyo back alley basement bar with an East London twist’, Ray’s Bar has a promising future.
