For its 5th edition, Paris Design Week comes back even stronger. During eight days, Paris shall be the world capital of design, with more than 100 French and international professionals designers to showcase their latest creations, thus becoming a breeding ground for international creations, a real creators’ village.
The event invites the public to discover not only one of the best design showcases in Paris but also the forefront of the discipline : the now! Le Off exhibition, gathering its leading talents. Anchored to the Cité de La Mode et du Design – decorated at the entrance and on two floors with a two-headed flowery dragon designed by Alexis Tricoire – it highlights iconic creators and emerging design talents who offer and share their visions of the future of design, amongst them the very talented artist Aurélie HOEGY, the French duo ARRO Studio, and young independent Brooklyn designers exhibiting at the Triode gallery.
Other comtemporary exhibitions include “Dolce vita? Du Liberty au Design Italien (1900-1940) “ in Orsay Museum, “Chagall, Soulages, Benzaken … Le Vitrail Contemporain de 1945 a nos jours” at Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, or “Invention / Design. Regards Croisés“ by Sismo at the Arts et Métiers Museum.
Paris Design Week is happening all around the city – shops and showrooms of brands dedicated to design and the art of living – from the Saint-Germain-des-Prés to the Opéra district as well as few other areas in the Marais, Bastille and Champs-Elysées.
Paris Design Week runs from September 5 to September 12, 2015.
