East London has gotten so much sweeter since the opening of Molly Bakes Cafe in Dalston (her first). Designed to make you feel like you are away in a dream or on holiday with tropical plants and jungle print wallpaper adorning this cute, quaint cafe.
Indulge your sugar fantasies and escape city life with Molly’s delicious baked goods, whilst sipping on great coffee (Climpson & Sons), tea (Teapigs), or even hot chocolate (Jaz & Juls). If you are feeling brave (we advise you to leave the diet plans at the door) try her popular freakshakes (flavours include Raspberry, Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Salted Caramel, go crazy on the toppings by adding Brownies, Gourmet Marshmallows, Cookie Dough, Lemon & Raspberry Tartlets, or Honeycomb to your shake).
Alternatively, if you fancy brunch you can enjoy avocado and sourdough (Dusty Knuckles bakery) and croissants from Yeast Bakery or Molly’s homemade granola with yoghurt, berries and honey – YUMMY! There’s literally something for everyone.
We’ve followed Molly’s sugary journey for years now and have been huge fans of her cupcakes and chocolate cakes since her humble food market days. News of this particular mouth-watering opening was music to our ears and we couldn’t wait to try her delicious cupcakes and milkshakes, the latter of which have been taking the world by storm and now fortunately thanks to Molly Bakes, East London too.
It’s easy to while away hours here, you can casually work on your laptop, chit chat with friends or free your creative juices in the colouring books Molly has on each table, allowing consumers the chance to be featured on the cafe wall – we left our masterpiece (signing off with our instagram handle (encouraged) so you know it’s us if we make the cut…)
We recommend loose clothing as you’ll be stuck for choice and like us will want everything!
Molly Bakes Café opening times are;
