Looking back to look forward; it seems that entrepreneurial team behind MODE are really propelling this venue into every discerning deviants radar.
The grey matter brawn in question is the joint effort of five local entrepreneurs; Stevie Thomas, Jono Remington-Hobbs, brothers Oliver and Benjamin Bolton and Jolyon Klean, who have worked tirelessly to develop the next level in nightlife experiences.
Friday saw the official launch of the venue which classes it’s self as a club, bar, art space, music venue, restaurant hybrid. Launching with its first chapter ‘Future Vintage’, guests were immersed in a dark and alluring world inspired by the industrial revolution.
Dinners seamlessly switched to dancers, with the dance floor quickly flooding with Friday night faces. Suspended above the crowd was a giant Spitfire which was boldly light with crosshatching streams of coloured light.
Anchoring careless dancers was the central focal point – a one of a kind floor to ceiling flame throwing pipe organ – which worked as a backdrop to the evening’s talent. Eves being dropping and cats escaping from bags meant word of the headline act spread fast. The launch was lifted even higher by late night legends Groove Armada, who’s performance really set the tone for the scale of the talent to follow in weeks to come.
Set in one of our favourite neighborhoods, this immersive and evolving venue is one we watch closely.
