Earlier this year we interviewed the emerging UK artist, Sam Frankl READ HERE. His new music video follows the official release of ‘Macondo’ on all streaming platforms by One Two Many Records. It is taken from Hopscotch, Sam Frankl’s debut EP which is set for release by the same label at the end of August. The video was conceived by Sam Frankl and director, Angus Carter.
This video was shot by Angus Carter and Chris Dias on location on the Kent coast. The video stars Sam’s father, who’s character we see tending to pieces of camera equipment. As he cleans and inspects the equipment, lens flares transform into memories of the moments he has captured with them. We see his life pass before him in a blur of colour. The lenses have become a vessel for his experiences, mirroring the song’s themes of plaintive loss.
