A Cuban inspired pop-up called Last Nights of Havana launches this month at Tobacco Dock bringing a spot of glamour to the warehouse location. Coming from the team behind Skylight, the inspiration is 1940-50s pre-revolution Cuba. Expect cocktails, Cadillac’s and cigars to dominate the theme.
Drinks are curated by Andy Mil and Elliot Ball; founders of the Cocktail Trading Company. Dishing out rum cocktails upon arrival (included in your £20 ticket price), you can choose from zesty Mojitos, refreshing Daiquiris and heady Cuba Libres.
An explosion of flavour and culture continue. The sweet smells of Cuban street food will waft through the air and cigar sellers will be waltzing through the crowd selling fine Cuban cigars to really get you in the mood.
To keep the party alive, a Cuban band will play throughout the evenings led by ‘Sambroso’ Noda; Cuban musics unofficial ambassador in the UK. As the night draws in, DJs will play Latin inflected beats to raise the heat.
Tobacco Dock itself is the historic centre of rum and tobacco trade in London making it the perfect spot for the glamorous pop-up. They’ll also host rum tasting masterclasses every Saturday at £60pp. Tickets include a rum flight and special cocktail, and a discount towards that night’s event.
Last Nights of Havana will be running until May 2019, visit the website for more info.
