KUPP: Bottomless Boards

Thank god its February – alright so thats not the original acronym but we were all thinking it. The sun is shining and sure enough spring is on its way.

One new opening that has really brightened up our January is The Scandi-inspired casual dining restaurant, bar & cafe, KuPP located canal-side at Paddington.

Bringing a nuance of the Nordics, guests will be able to feast on their brilliant bords (smorgasbords), with beer and cocktails aplenty every Saturday and Sunday.

Guests will pay just £30 to enjoy 90 minutes of unlimited smorgasbord refills alongside bottomless Czech Pilsner Krusovice dispensed direct from the showcased silver tanks, or a choice of deliciously herbal and spice infused Aquavit cocktails a the Collins or everyones weekend fave: the Bloody Mary!

The venue is light and airy feeling and has a great view of the river and its many marathon runners, pounding up and down the pavement.

This weekend we were lucky enough to try The Fiske Bord which came with a slab of Homecured Norwegian gravadlax, Atlantic prawn Skagen, yummy home smoked trout, Hanson & Lyderson tender smoked salmon, classic Kupp potato salad and a roasted beetroot pickled vegetable medley.

Another strong option we sampled was ‘The KuPP Bord’ which contained the House smoked pork meatballs, succulent potted rabbit, a gigantic chorizo sausage roll, Vasterbotten cheese, smoked Sussex gammon, again the KuPP potato salad and pickled vegetables.

The Czech Pilsner was the drink of choice, elevating our Sunday and weekend as whole into a gastronomic smorgas-delight – we cant recommend KuPP enough!
