Clerkenwell’s foodie-filled Exmouth Market has just welcomed another exciting new addition – this time with a focus on retro (70s & 80s) British comfort food which means Chicken Kievs (!), Prawn Cocktails, Black Forest Trifle and Soda Stream cocktails.
These classics will be teemed with creative elements and utilise quality, seasonal and local produce from Neal’s Yard cheese to beef from Wells Farm in Tunbridge Wells. Even the signature Kievs are made with hand foraged wild garlic and a secret bread-crumb blend.
Coin Laundry is a new venture from ULG, a young and dynamic collection of restaurants and bars dotted around North, Central and West London (Ask for Janice, Central & Co, Alice House).
Following suit, the cocktail list features modern takes on retro classics such as the Grasshopper and the Snowball. A sodastream will be on hand to create a selection of bubbly cocktails and fizzy soft drinks.
Spread over two floors, the design of Coin Laundry’s interior has revealed and restored some of the original pub features including decorative tiling. And with comfy couches, homely designs, board games and even an 80s pinball machine Coin Laundry promises to be a “laid back, cool and fun space for any occasion from morning until late night.”
