We already love the Park Hotels empire; with their unrivalled collection of fine art spread across the hotels, their luxury boutique feel and a powerful female entrepreneur (recently named one of the forebears of contemporary travel at LE Miami) behind the operation – what’s not to love?
They are now launching two new exciting hotels in the depths of the gorgeous Indian jungle, one in Uttarakhand and the other in Northern Kerala, both coming this winter. The sketch above of the The Park Wayanad, Kerala gives a taste of things to come.
The Park Corbett, Jim Corbett National Park (Uttarakhand, North India) opens in November 2015 and will have 40 rooms. It will be the first branded luxury hotel to open in the park, which is one of the best in India and home to a spectacular array of wildlife, including the Bengal Tiger. The hotel has a prime position, accessible all year round and situated close to the park entrance. It has expansive landscaped gardens and combines natural materials, including local stone with contemporary design. The hotel will offer excellent dining and services, including safaris run by the in-house naturalists.
The Park Wayanad in Northern Kerala is also set to open at the end of the year. The hotel will have around 25 cottages and villas and is located in the forested area of Wayanad that extends into the hills of the Western Ghats. The ambience here will be that of an eco-resort, with breath-taking views from tree-house rooms, again with Park Hotel’s exquisite design, dining and service culture.
