The Park Plaza London Waterloo - which opened in June of 2017 - is one of those spots trying to fit into this slot. One of our favourite South Bank haunts, Skylon is celebrating the return of Southbank Centre’s Festival of Love, with a five course tasting menu during the month of August. Read more →Originally deriving from Berlin, woodruff syrup (made from a herbaceous plant and has a distinctive electric green hue and a strong aromatic fragrance) is a relatively unknown cocktail ingredient in the UK, that is being used increasingly by bartenders to bring a sweet, fresh flavour to drinks. In Berlin it is used to flavour wine, beer and even sausages. We went along to Primo Bar at The Westminster Park Plaza on the Southbank to check out some cocktails featuring this new ingredient. Culinary director and award winning chef Seamus Mullen (of Tertulia in New York) has devised the new menu to include a blend of his signature light and healthy plates as well as heartier options.
