Japanese designer Issey Miyake is set to become part of Design Museum's permanent collection as part their new display, Extraordinary Stories About Ordinary Thing. Miyake's 132 5 collection that is included in the new display perviously won Design Museum’s Fashion Design of the Year in 2012. The pieces in the collection were made from recycled plastic and were inspired by a series of mathematical experiments carried out by a Japanese academic.
