The 110-year-old Strand Palace as undergone a multi-million pound transformation and the results are pretty incredible. The 786-room hotel has been brought up to the 21st century, with some art deco touches adding to the charm. I checked in on a Friday night, with a friendly man greeting us on the door. The lobby had a cool contemporary feel with polished floors and wood-pannelled walls. There was also modern art dotted around the place, keeping my eyes distracted. Check in was swift and we were directed to a newly-refurbished superior king on the 8th floor. Despite it being a king, the...

Award-winning chef Tom Simmons has opened his first restaurant in London July 2017. Tom Simmons, new restaurant by the same name is the hidden gem we hope won't stay hidden for too long. Tucked away amongst some new builds between London Bridge and Tower Bridge (there's great views of both) it's the sort of place you won't find unless you are looking for it on these quiet residential back streets - once you do however, you can't deny it's there and you'll want to tell everyone about it (or maybe that's just us)!

This brilliant new addition to Covent Garden’s culinary scene is a welcome breath of fresh air and somewhere I’d like to return to again and again. Despite getting tangled up in the crowds of tourists in the area, I still love Covent Garden and am there frequently for meetings, dining, drinking, shopping and yoga (not necessarily in that order). New restaurants and bars pop up frequently here but few so good as the shiny new Mabel’s. It’s got atmosphere, character and above all great food. Arriving on a Wednesday nigh...

Talk to the “hip” Londoner and he or she will tell you not only what to wear or what bands to listen too, but what to eat if you want to fit in. Of course, it would be an exercise in foolishness to heed their advice. By the time you have sat down in the latest BBQ joint or falafel squat, they will have moved on. The thing is, with food, its quality remains untarnished as fads come and go. Great food will always be great food, regardless of whether it is in ‘vogue’ or not. As food crazes have...

The interior is clean and fun with banquette seating, lush red leather diner style booths and quintessential dual tone tile floor. Natural light streams through the large front windows and a beautifully exposed lighting rig casts soft, ambient light over the bar. The feel of the place itself is something quite spectacular, it's a collision of two worlds, two feelings, and they have managed...

And my personal favs (and particularly stareworthy pair) happen to be the classic Nike blazers. Constantly being reinvented, Blazers have been a welcomed edition to my wardrobe for years – coming in various colours and patterns- there is definitely a style out there for everyone. The Nike Blazers are the kind of kicks that are neat enough to rock as an everyday, comfy footwear option, teamed with jeans and a simple t-shirt or during the summer with cut-offs a...
