To celebrate Charles Dickens’ 200th birth anniversary, the Experimental Cocktail Club of London is hosting a three day bash in true Dickensian style. Expect a tailor made selection of 1850s inspired cocktails and an atmosphere straight off the pages of some the writer’s most famous books.
Guests can sip on a Scotch based cocktail, The Pickwick Club Cocktail; an immensely popular hot gin punch, The Bleak House or warm up with a hot gin punch, The Oliver’s Twist. There will also be a chance to sip on Medwin, a 19th Century tipple gin and warm water. Roasted chestnuts from the Chestnut Shop next door and special savoury pies from Goddard’s Pies are served for the peckish guests. The music is performed by a live band on Tuesday night’s event, which is the actual day of Dickens’ birth and for the two following days, DJs will be on the decs.
