If you want to escape the big corporate sponsored, queue ridden, over-hyped and underwhelming trap of festival season this year then trust me Farmfestival is the only ticket you need this summer. Taking place in Somerset on Friday 29 and Saturday 30th July, Farmfestival, now in its sixth year is sponsor free, family friendly and full to the brim with all the up an coming bands and DJs you actually want to see.
From its inception as a small but perfectly formed gathering of friends, musicians and party people Farmfestival has stayed true to its roots and is the kind of festival that gets bigger in size and popularity but will NEVER sell out! And more importantly doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!
For two days, experience four stages including main stage, an acoustic tent and alfresco diary disco and DJ sets that don’t stop til 4am! There’s bags to see and with a line up that includes Saturday headliners Pete and the Pirates, Man Like Me, Dodgy, Onlyjoe, DJ Vadim, Pardon My French and OntheROOF! DJ collective-the only issue you’ll have is choosing what to see next. There’s lots of family fun too with the Best Hat competition, an Arts Tent with plenty of stuff for the kiddies to do and even on-site installations and interactive pieces by illustrator Simon Mills.
And if all that stuff doesn’t make you wanna join the fun (and befriend the Farmfest gang!) then knowing that every year they donate to a number of charities might just sway you (festival vibes, partying AND charity-win, win I think!). This year’s charity roster includes: Practical Action, The British Stammering Association and Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.
