Have you tried ‘Dirty Food’, ‘Dirty Drinks’ and listened to ‘Dirty DJ’S’? If so, then you will have already visited the booming Dirty Bones in Carnaby Street or Kensington but beware, there’s a new kid on the block.
Dirty Bones Shoreditch has opened with new branding, an amplified food concept, Dirty DJ’s and a Dirty brunch to die for. Designed by Studio Lots & More and Gina Brennan, the design has embraced the existing features of a stunning listed building, contrasting it with Dirty Bones’ retro flair.
Whilst DB are famous for their retro memorabilia interiors, Dirty Bones Shoreditch has a much cleaner interior with minimal white walls, white linen curtains and luxury velvet seats. This offers offer the perfect contrast to a stunning vintage speaker as a reception desk, neon lights as a DJ backdrop and black and white rock n roll photography.
The menu is a naughty take on succulent meat dishes, including their new infamous Cheese Burger Dumplings, which are simply divine! Their New York comfort food is sourced from the best suppliers & ingredients guaranteeing quality and taste. Their signature hotdogs and burgers have fluffy new buns and their vegetarian menu has expanded.
For morning larks, this a hotspot to nestle in through the winter months! Their brunch has a signature Dirty Mary, rimmed with sour cream pringle’s combined with lemon, hot sauce and pickle jus and is one of the best I’ve tried. Pair this with either their Haddock 5 (crumpets of Cornish smoked haddock, slow-poached in milk for extra tenderness) or their Bourbon Poached Pear & Baonal (Slow-cooked Scottish oat & flaxseed granola, thick set Greek yogurt, sweetened with roast banana purée, Bourbon poached pear and honey) and you will become a superhero!
Not only has the food menu taken a revamp but their have a dedicated bar team are serving New York style ‘Classic Bones’ cocktails classics mixed with ‘The Sweet Shop’ fusions for sweet tooth fanatics. In this case, their Key Lime Pie Martini seems to be the rising star, although far to sweet for my liking.
Known for their old school music nights, Dirty Bones Shoreditch has a lively bar area, hosting DJ nights every Friday and Saturday from 9pm, featuring old school funk, soul and hip hop music. This is definitely a place you need to check out!
