Cut & Grind opened it’s doors a few months back, however it’s secluded location meant it slipped off our radar until now. Situated at the back of Granary Square, the restaurant is probably not attracting the attention it deserves as these burgers warrant serious kudos!
The kitchen staff – headed up by Sammy Aykak, formerly of Zelman Meats and Burger & Lobster – are kept busy each day as all beef is freshly ground on site ensuring patty perfection. The patty blends consist of three different cuts, changing each day dependant on whats fresh.
The menu outlines the three cuts chosen that day to form the ‘Juicy’ and ‘Skinny’ patty options. Once you’ve made up your mind on the cut (we recommend the ‘Juicy’ for ultimate burger satisfaction) you then have the choice of House, Classic or Brave burger combos.
Each one builds on the last; the Brave is kept simple with burger bernaise, the Classic adds cheddar, lettuce, roast tomato, pickles and red onions, and the House is finished with home cured maple bacon. Vegetarian and Vegan options are available too (we recommend the Halloumi burger).
Complete with sweet potato fries, fresh slaw and the seriously scrumptious halloumi fries, it’s one mean meal. And seeing as it’s Christmas, the calories are void right?
Cut & Grind are also open for breakfast offering all the usuals plus a signature breakfast burger, served on an English muffin, topped with poached egg and bernaise.
