Covent Garden is getting a new addition to its already impressive list of drinking haunts…
The Experimental Cocktail Group, the collective force behind Experimental Cocktail Club (ECC) in London, New York and Paris (not to mention their plethora of other Parisian venues and Experimental Beach Ibiza), are opening their rather chic contribution to the London wine scene.
Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels (CVS) Seven Dials will focus not only on wine but, in true ECC fashion, they will source the most exceptional wines from various regions and pay particular tribute to smaller producers. As a result the selection of hundreds of wines will always be fresh, unique and continually changing due to limited stock. The list itself is carefully sourced, selected and scoured over by Nic Smith and Julia Oudill, the group’s own Wine Director and Sommelier, respectively.
As far as appetite appeasers go, CVS will be offering a selection of British ingredients fuelled with French flavours; Truffled ham on toasted sour-dough, Mountain Chicken (Buttermilk fried Frogs legs), lime and smoked paprika and Burrata with pomegranate and pumpkin seeds, to name but a few.
What’s shaping up to be quite the spot opens on Friday the 6th of December, reservations starting from the 8th. If their other venues are anything to go by – get in early.
