Compagnie des vins surnaturels, Seven Dials, is an highly acclaimed, eclectic wine bar and French-influenced restaurant in Covent Garden. It’s also the first London wine bar from Experimental Group, the collective minds behind iconic cocktail bars, wine and restaurant establishments in New York, Paris, London and Ibiza.
Fresh for Spring, the wine bar has launched a seasonal a la carte menu, which can be enjoyed all day. The spring menu includes; Crab bruschetta, avocado & chilli, (which we’ve tried and loved), Pea tortellini, ricotta & crispy shallot, Lamb chops, new potatoes & wild garlic, Burrata (always a winner with us) and Marinated seabass, mango, chilli & lime. There are also a selection of smaller plates such as the moreish Goat’s cheese and asparagus arancini and Crispy baby squid, espelette pepper & vinegar. Their signature Posh Madame, a Croque Madame with truffle ham and a quail’s egg, will remain on the menu much to our glee, alongside cheese sourced from Androuet in Spitalfields and charcuterie served with toasted sourdough from St John’s bakery.
The comprehensive list of hand-picked wines (with over 400 wines) are also impressive and created by award winning sommelier Julia Oudill, who is both wine buyer and general manager. Julia and her team of experts are always at hand to recommend the perfect glass or bottle to enjoy alongside the minuet otherwise whether it’s a casual drink or a celebration.
Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels is perfect for a sunny afternoon or evening, catch up with friends over good food and fine wines, inside or outside at the al fresco tables of Neal’s Yard (if the British weather permits) just watching the world go by.
