CHRISTMESS: A Christmas festival from Slap Ya Papa and Marbles & Ware.

Christmas affords an overhaul this year as ChristMESS takes the (reindeer) reins for a six week stint of festive rebellion and debauchery. At the helm is St Nicky, an anarchist in the world of Christmas and by his side are Mama Claus and the rebel elves, making sure all cunning plans are in place.

Set in ye olde London, Christmess at The Imaginarium is hosted at The Hunter Penrose, a barely touched warehouse in Southwark.

A multitude of events are taking place at the festival from 15th November including…

Festive feasts. Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts are given a soulful twist with Cajun Roast Turkey taking centre stage. Dancing on tables is permitted, encouraged in fact. Be sure not to tread in any roast tatties, candied yams or fermented fancies while you’re at it – all of which will be served alongside the bird.

Mama Claus’ Hidden Blues Room and Santa’s Whiskey Grotto. Here, the mischief continues and live music will have everyone up and dancing. An Absinthe pop-up bar will also offer a dash of Christmas sparkle as the ‘Green Fairy’ grants your Christmas wishes.

The Makers Market. The daily market will sell an array of handmade crafts ranging hand-drawn illustrations, vintage garments and ceramics. The Makers will also offer ‘present making’ classes such as floral wreath weaving by BLO:AUM and beeswax candle making by Forest Garden.

Find out what else is on and how to buy tickets for Christmess at The Imaginarium on their website.
