CARNIVAL FEVER: The Duppy Share hits Notting Hill

It’s that time of year again. As the August Bank Holiday weekend opens its brightly coloured, feathered arms once more, West London prepares for Europe’s biggest street party. The two-day celebrations (27th – 28th August) get brighter and better this year, so enjoy a taste of the Caribbean with Notting Hill Carnival’s official drinks partner, The Duppy Share.

Brimming with artistry, dedication and expertise, Rum Distillers helped George Frost set up The Westbourne Drinks Company to bring The Duppy Share to life. Perfectly balanced, The Duppy Share’s unique blend of premium rums hail from the beautiful Worthy Park Estate in Jamaica and the prestigious Foursquare Distillery in Barbados.

The Duppy Share will be available across Carnival stalls, local pubs and bars of West London. They’ll be popping up their own bars across the two days on 76 Kensington Park Rd and 9 Blenheim Crescent, partnering with Red Bull Music Academy after a two-year hiatus and Red Stripe to offer some tropical concoctions across the weekend. Keep a look out at local favourites such as Prince Albert, Sun in Splendour and The Elgin which will all be serving carnival classic rum punches in 4-pint jugs – best shared with a group of friends. There will also be special The Duppy Share surprises to fuel the fun, including a live mural, so make sure you get involved.

And if you’re thinking of starting early, here are a few cocktail recipes to get you in the mood for Carnival weekend:
