Like the scene of a crime, a slam collision has just happened. After further investigation it appears that lunch has skillfully sumo wrestled with dinner over at BRGR. CO. In fact the lunch part of this duo was so ballsy it has pinned the dinner part to the plate – and they’ve been there, battling it out for almost a week.
In an age where Cronuts (a croissant and doughnut hybrid) are offered for breakfast we no longer have to choose one or the other, this or that, push or pull – we can have our cake (or in this case burger) and eat it.
BRGR. CO in London (the home of a tube eating epidemic) have noted this need for all and once and have come up with a Frankenstein-wich that they’ve dubbed The Cheese Boastie.
In honor of National Sandwich Week (11th – 17th May ) BRGR. CO’s latest concoction is a sandwich-come-burger tapestry. Made up of a succulent Buccleuch beef burger, slices of vintage Montgomery cheddar, the obligatory giant tomato, and rich chutney, with the crowning glory – the toasty bit – being made form a buttery farmhouse loaf, which is then grilled with Anglesey Butter.
Was the grafting of lunch with dinner a creation of purely the Burgerologists in the BRGR. CO lab? Or was it just a happy little accident – a blessing from the burger gods and their bap winged angels? We will never know. What is certain though, is that this mound of flavour is one that everyone should try and conquer.
