BARRIO SOHO IS BORN: Mexican Drinking & Dining in Soho

This month sees the previously known Barrio Central re-launch as Barrio Soho and with it comes a brand new menu, a new head chef and a shiny new look.

The Soho branch of the Barrio bars has always been a popular hangout, boasting all the right ingredients of great cocktails, a great atmosphere and a central location. But things are set to get even hotter with a new menu by Ernesto Pavia of Gurufa and Bubbledogs fame. He is drawing on his Latin American roots to create a menu, which centers around the authentic ingredients of wholesome Mexican cooking. Expect Tacos, short ribs and some inventive tequila cocktails, with a range of Tapas-style dishes and sharing platters – perfect for after-work drinks or a night out.

People may not have been previously drawn to Barrio for its food but the new menu sets to change all that, with the bar now offering the complete package. Sneak previews of the interior also reveal a bar that is fun and playful without taking itself too seriously.

The new cocktail list looks extremely enticing, with drinks such as the Rumshackle (Santa Teresa rum, with orange curacao, orgeat, pineapple and lime), the Wonky Donky (Casco Viejo tequila, elderflower, ginger and lime lengthened with soda) and the Gingerbread Colada
(Santa Teresa Gran Reserva rum with pineapple and coconut).

Head down to Barrio Soho from 19th October to experience their new look and exciting new menus.
