One of Its Rude To Stares favourite restaurant groups aqua have continued their winning streak with the relaunch and rejuvenation of aqua nueva.
Mixing a cheeky little bit of Spanish senorita with the courageous attitude of the a fighting bull, the menu, created by Head Chef Alberto Hernandez makes aqua nueva a unique and utterly delicious destination to dine Spanish style.
To really start feeling Spanish we kicked off the meal with a glass of cava on the large terrace, before rocking up in a cosy booth where we were able to sit back and relax, whilst catching glimpses of the chefs at work in the kitchen.
The flexible menu offers a selection of Spanish small dishes. Hernandez is said to combine the best seasonal produce with a contemporary style to create dishes meaning we were able to sample delights such as: a light Marinated Crab Salad with Green Apple, meaty Mullet Fillets with Aioli, Black Ink Rice Parcels, Deep-Fried Monte Enebro Cheese and delicious Confit Beetroot, Liquorice.
Behind the stick Bar Manager Luca Missaglia has crafted the ‘Inspired by Spain’ cocktail menu which includes Mi Casa Es Su Casa (Belvedere Vodka, Lemon, Dry Sherry, Orgeat, Pineapple and Black Pepper), and the Catalan Sour (which features a smooth combination of Haig Club Whisky with Chestnut Liqueur, Lime, Egg White and Agave)
Perfectly encapsulating a little bit of sunny Spain, the newly evolved aqua nueva provides the perfect place to explore the country’s cuisine whilst in the convenience of central London.
